Introducing Cribble: never re-key an invoice again

Every small business and every bookkeeping practice has the same quiet time sink: financial documents arrive as PDFs, photos and paper, and someone types their contents into accounting software by hand. Five to ten minutes per document, every field a chance for a typo, every typo a bad payment or a reconciliation headache.

A cribble is an old English word for a coarse sieve — from the Latin cribrum. We chose it because sifting is exactly the job: the coarse goes in, the fine comes out, and you can always see the mesh doing the work.

Cribble is our answer. Every account gets a dedicated forwarding address. Send any financial document there — an invoice, a receipt, a bank statement, a remittance advice, a purchase order, a delivery note, a credit note — and Cribble classifies it, extracts the fields that matter for that document type, and scores every field for confidence so you know exactly what to double-check.

The parts we're proudest of are the honest ones. Confidence is scored per field, not blended into one flattering number. Unmatched references are shown as unmatched rather than hidden. And when a photo is too blurry to read, Cribble tells you that — with a suggestion for what to do about it — instead of guessing silently.
